About Oshawa Cabinet Painting
Oshawa Cabinet Painting does one trade: cabinets. The products, the spray equipment and the order of work are all set up for it.

Start With The Door Count
Count the doors and drawer fronts, take one photograph, and the rest is our job. Phone or send the form and we will find a time that suits the house.

A Cabinet Painting Company That Works On Kitchens And Nothing Else
Oshawa Cabinet Painting does one trade. Kitchens, vanities, pantries, laundry cupboards and built-ins are the whole of the work, which means the equipment, the products and the sequence are set up for cabinets rather than borrowed from wall painting. Insurance covers every job that leaves the shop.
Cabinet painting is the hardest painted surface in a house to get right. They are touched hundreds of times a week, cleaned with whatever is nearest, splashed with grease and hot water, and looked at from eighteen inches away in strong light. Wall paint on a cabinet door fails within a season, and that single fact explains why cabinet painting is a separate trade with separate products.
What A Quote Names Before Anything Is Touched
A quote should be readable by someone who has never bought cabinet painting before. Ours gives the door, drawer front and false front counts, the substrate we identified in each area, the primer and topcoat by product family, the sheen, the coat count, how many days are spent in the house, and a total.
Extras are priced as their own lines rather than folded into a single number. Grain filling on an oak kitchen, bonding primer on melamine or laminate, a second colour over an island, interiors, crown moulding, filled handle holes and new hinges each appear separately, so items can be added or taken out without redrafting the whole quote. Every job is fully insured, and the quote says so.
What We Will Say Even When It Costs Us The Work
Some kitchens should not go for cabinet painting at all, and that gets said during the visit. Thermofoil that has already lifted will not take a coating, swollen fibreboard around a sink will not hold one, and a kitchen whose layout does not work is a renovation rather than a refinishing job. Saying that on the first visit is cheaper for everyone than discovering it on day four.
There are also kitchens where the wood is worth keeping. Where good walnut, cherry or white oak sits under a tired clear coat, we will recommend refinishing instead of cabinet painting, even though the two are priced much the same. The point of the visit is to establish which job the kitchen actually needs.
How We Work
Cabinets and nothing else
Kitchens, vanities, pantries, laundry cupboards and built-ins are the whole of the work. The equipment, the products and the sequence are chosen for cabinets, not borrowed from wall painting.
Prep before paint
Degreasing, sanding, filling and masking come before any coating, and primer follows the material. Grease and wax are the most common reason a finish lets go, and they cannot be sanded out.
A quote that names everything
Door counts, materials, primer, topcoat, sheen, coat count and days on site are all written down, and extras are priced as their own lines so items can be added or removed.
Honest advice at the visit
If a door cannot hold paint, or the wood is worth keeping, we say so on the first visit. That costs less for everyone than finding out on day four.
